Welcome to your new FineRooms House!
We are so delighted you have decided to join our FineRooms House! Thank you for your custom and we look forward to serving you as one of our valued housemates. You have by now checked out your welcome gift pack... just a few bits and pieces to make your stay more comfortable. See more details below...
TOP TIPS FOR A GREAT STAY
TIP 1: Check out the noticeboard regularly for really useful information about the house and local area, including:
- Timetables for Ensuite cleaning
- Bin collection schedule
- House rules sheet
- Important notices such as Covid Updates
TIP 2: Sign up to the latest Arthur App for your phone or mobile device - this is a useful tool which gives you key information about your tenancy and rent payments. We also sometimes post important messages to tenants through the app and you can serve notices through the app as well.
TIP 3: Stay in touch with us... Sarah and I are here to help you however we can. Please keep us up to date of any changes you may be experiencing in work or at home so we are aware and can help if necessary.
TIP 4: Get to know your fellow housemates... they are a great starting point to creating a balanced life for yourself in your new home, particularly if you are new to the area. Sarah and I are very careful about who we choose to live in FineRooms houses and we aim to match new tenants to existing housemates to encourage a sociable and homely vibe.
TIP 5: Make the most of all the facilities of the house including the free laundry machines, the outside as well as inside communal areas and the online and technical resources we provide. But do remember, we would like to make FineRooms Houses as green as possible so wherever possible, remember to turn off lights when you are not using them, use heat and water in a sensible manner and recycle or reuse waste wherever possible.
Thank you and see you soon!

FineRooms Waterbottle & Keyring
Enjoy using our FineRooms water-bottle. Made of pure glass with a hard plastic bespoke straw no need to buy any more plastic water bottles or straws. Keep by your bedside for sips of water at night or take with you on a walk - this retro milk-bottle style bottle will be your eco-companion whenever you are thirsty!
Recycled Waste Bag
Separate your waste by putting all recyclable waste straight into this bag instead of your bin. Empty into the recycled bin outside when full and start again! You can include empty plastic bottles with recycling signs on, paper and toilet roll cardboard... (check the noticeboard for the full list)
Who Gives a Crap Toilet Paper
A recent addition to our welcome packs, this Who Gives A Crap toilet roll will get you through your first few days in the house in case you didn't bring some of your own. Completely plastic free, the wrapping paper can also be used to cover books or wrap Christmas or birthday presents. A very useful item indeed!
Constantly reviewing and upgrading
We understand that shared houses are for people to feel at home in and we constantly review how comfortable and enjoyable it is to live there.
We regularly visit the house to check that facilities are working properly and upgrade electrical and furniture items if they are damaged. We do need your help to let us know about any problems or issues you may be experiencing. Rest assured that we will do our best to respond quickly to any faults or issues you or other housemates report, and ensure they are resolved by qualified builders, electricians, gas engineers and other contractors as necessary. We want to make sure your stay is as safe, comfortable and easy as possible! You can easily let us know about any problems using the Arthur app or House Social Media group on your phones.
Referral Scheme
If you know anyone looking for a room like yours in the Watford area, including Radlett and Borehamwood, let us know. If they move in and become a FineRooms Housemate, you will receive £100 as a referral fee! Let us know through the Arthur App or WhatsApp / Telegram group and we will show your friend or colleague round any suitable rooms and do our best to accommodate them!
